On Tuesday, Sept 2, I’ll be having my “big” ultrasound where we confirm the baby’s health and also (we hope!) find out whether we’ll be having a boy or a girl.  Obviously the health is our number 1 priority, but with finding out the gender comes a lot of the fun stuff also.  Like shopping!

Speaking of which, D is at a meeting today that could potentially become his first contract position.  With no income other than the paltry sum we get from unemployment (which is actually halved for 6 weeks because THEY screwed up) we could desperately use some real cash flow.  Especially considering I had gotten rid of a lot of our baby stuff because it was old or we just didn’t want to store it anymore!  Luckily we still have most of the clothes, but the big stuff is pretty much gone.

So if you could be in prayer for these 2 things (the baby’s health, as well as the potential income) we’d be very grateful.  If you don’t pray, we’ll take positive thoughts as well.  We believe in those, too. 😉

If I’m not back before Tuesday with an update, I’ll definitely be by here then to share the ultrasound results.  Until then, be safe this holiday weekend!

I’m super bored, so I thought I’d start a guessing pool for the baby! If you’re just dying to throw your guesses out there, click on the banner below and go for it!

The winner will get…my highest esteem? Bragging rights? The chance to babysit if the baby is colicy and I need a night off? Diaper changing duties for the first week? I don’t know, but something fabulous for sure!

W Family Players

D is the dad, the husband, and the breadwinner. All around nice guy and good at pretty much everything he does. It's disgusting, really. But makes him worth keeping around.

M is the mom, the wife, and the hopeless housekeeper. At least the kids' heads haven't fallen off yet. Beyond that, she sucks at the "stay at home" thing. Oh, and she's the blogger.

J is the big boy. Born October 11 2002, he is in kindergarten and loves it. Now 6 years old, and too smart for his own good. Talks a lot but extremely entertaining.

C is the little boy. Born June 26, 2006, he went through a lot in his first year but is doing just fine now. The only blond in the family, so his paternity is routinely questioned by rude strangers.

V is our baby girl. She is brand new and arrived in January 2009. So far everything is going well. We're thrilled to have added the final piece to our family puzzle. And yes, she WILL be the final piece!
